What Should You Do First?

Our doctors will ask you a few questions about your medical condition. You will be asked about your medical issues and medications if you use any. For the safety of our patients and the best results, our doctors will discuss your expectations and reasons for the operation to fully understand your demands.

Medication Vacation

Our doctors will inform you when you should stop using your medications such as Aspirin or other blood-thinning drugs. You need to give a break to such medications three days before the hair transplant operations.

The Day Before the Operation

Since hair transplantation is microsurgery, it is not recommended for patients to drink alcohol. Alcohol consumption affects the efficiency of local anesthetics and this can bear a serious risk for the patients and affect the results of the operation. In addition to this, smoking is not recommended since it affects the blood circulation in the scalp. Besides, smoking causes blood vessel constriction which delays the recovery of the donor and transplant area as it can also cause the weak growth of the transplanted hair. This is why we do not recommend smoking for at least a week after the operation too.

What Should You Wear in Operation Day?

There is no limitation about what you should wear during the operation. However, since the operation takes approximately 6 hours on average, it will be better to prefer comfortable clothes In addition to this, we highly recommend wearing clothes that will not get in touch with the operation area. This may cause unwanted complications and delay the recovery period.

What Should You Do to Get Ready for the Operation?

You can take a shower before you arrive at the clinic since you will not be able to take showers for a few days after the operation. We highly recommend our patients to rest well before the operation and come with a full stomach.

What Should I Do During the Operation?

For the safety of the patients and operation, no companions are allowed in the operating room. Your companions will be hosted in the waiting room until the end of the operation. Chewing gum is not allowed and patients should avoid talking during the operation. You will also avoid all kinds of actions which will make your head moves such as using personal phones, checking wristwatch and so on.
